Sharon Marie Schmidt, born on August 12, 1960, in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on August 22, 2026, in New Port Richey, Florida, at the age of 66.
Preceded in death by her mother, Philomena Ravino Minkle, and her father, Frederick Minkle. Raised in Boston, Sharon embodied the city's spirit and resilience. After her parents and her sister, Jane, moved south, she joined them in New Port Richey, Florida, making it her home for 40 years.
Upon earning her bachelor's degree, Sharon found her passion for counseling, educating children on the PACE Program.
She is survived by her sisters Jane (Ron) and Theresa (Phil), her brothers Fred (Aimee) and John, her son, Adam Schmidt, and his 3 children. Sharon is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who remember her fondly.
Sharon was a devoted friend, leaving behind lifelong friends from Massachusetts; Julene Franco, Ann Ulett, and Carmen Miranda, and Florida; Terri Osher and Krysta Martinkovic.
She enjoyed spending time with her sister, Jane, and Jane's family, driving around in her Camaro, occasionally getting tattoos, and adding to her childhood collection of Smurfs.
Sharon Marie Schmidt’s legacy is cherished by those who's lives she touched. Remembered for her authenticity, distinct humor, and unwavering presence, she was an exemplary daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend.
She was loved by many, and her memory will continue to live on in their hearts.
