  • Robert R. "Bob" O'Hearn, a beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on April 27th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Born on September 23rd, 1942, Bob's life was marked by his devotion to his family and his commitment to serving others. As a loving, family man, Bob was known for always having a smile on his face, radiating warmth and joy to all who knew him.


    Bob not only cherished his family but also took pride in his work. He loved his job as a pile driving foreman, contributing to the construction of numerous bridges throughout the country and the Caribbean. His leadership skills shone through as he taught his expertise to all who would listen. He enjoyed “bossing people around“ making sure that everything was done right and safely. He was well respected for his knowledge, innovation, and ability to complete each project with precision and excellence.


    In his spare time, Bob found solace and fulfillment in his workshop, where he lovingly crafted countless furniture items for family and friends. His woodworking skills were unmatched and he enjoyed creating custom challenging pieces. His familys’ homes are filled with his creations.


    Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Eileen, and his four children, Deborah, Christine (Jerry), Raymond (Jessica), and Timothy, and brother, Francis "Frank" (Wanita). Their love and memories of Bob will forever live on in their hearts, serving as a reminder of his kindness, love, and dedication to his family.


    Bob also leaves behind six grandchildren: Raeanne (Joshua), Cameron (Sophia), Ashley (Colton), Danielle (Curt), Jenna (Anthony), and Aimee (Matthew), as well as his three great-grandchildren: Lainey, Nolan, and Nyx. One of Bob’s greatest joys was being a grandfather. The stories of his love and kindness will continue to inspire future generations.


    Bob's legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched, as his memory serves as a beacon of love and inspiration for all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. Rest in peace, Bob O'Hearn, knowing that your kindness, love, and dedication will forever remain in our hearts.
