Paul Louis Hamelin of Tarpon Springs, FL born and raised in Spencer, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Lorraine Hamelin, his children Paul Raymond Hamelin, Diane Venette, Beth Elfman, Cindy Reilly. Grandchildren, Renee Barnes, Paul Anthony Hamelin, Hannah Hamelin, Lainey Hamelin, Tyla Rae Otero, Jason Elfman, Jackie Constantine, Desire Vance, Shane Venette, Great Grandchildren,Noah Hamelin, Josh Burns, JoJo Boyer, Emma Boyer, Rainey Venette,Raymond Vance, Noah Vance, Miranda Beninati. Son in law Bruce Venette. Daughter in laws Joanne Hamelin, Jessica Barnes, Rebecca Hamelin. Sister and Brother in laws Carol Gatto, Sheila Talman, Ronald Talman, Richard Mercier, Pat Mercier, Raymond Mercier and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
He was born September 27, 1935 to Noel Hamelin and Ida Cusson Hamelin in Spencer, MA. He joined the Navy and toured on the USS Intrepid. Married to Lorraine Hamelin they raised their family in Northboro, MA as a sheet metal extruder Where he later retired to Tarpon Springs, FL. He was a competitive Horse Shoe player and won many trophies. An avid fisherman who fished all over the country. Member of the Knights of Columbus. Baseball was his favorite sport and he was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan. He was a family man, good neighbor and all around kind soul who was loved and respected by family and friends.
There will be a memorial service for Mr. Hamelin on Saturday November 14, 2020 at 1:00 at Morgan Funeral Home 6025 Trouble Creek Rd. New Port Richey, FL 34653. Visiting hour starts at 12:00 noon.
