Palmira "Paula" Reis, a remarkable woman whose life was filled with love and dedication, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, in Holiday, Florida. She departed this world on the 14th anniversary of her beloved husband's passing, reminding everyone of their eternal love and reunion.
Born on March 24, 1928, in Portugal, Paula's journey took her to Brazil, where she spent 11 years, before ultimately settling in the United States as a proud citizen. She lived a full and vibrant life, reaching the age of 97 and leaving behind a legacy of strength and determination.
Paula was a devoted mother to three children: Frank, 75, a retired veteran of the US Air Force and Civil Service; Roseana, who also served about 20 years in the Air Force; and Aires, the youngest, who retired from the Navy. Paula’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her own children, as she took care of her grandchildren and often welcomed children from family and neighbors into her home. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds; regardless of how little she had, she would always find a way to share.
Her unwavering patriotism was reflected in the service of her family—she raised three veterans, including two retirees, and was proud of their contributions to the nation. Paula's home was a sanctuary of warmth and efficiency, a place where love thrived.
The blessings Paula imparted to her family were profound. Her teachings inspired a sense of perseverance and hard work within her children and grandchildren, creating a legacy that will continue to resonate through generations.
Paula leaves behind a loving family, including her children, Frank, Roseana, and Aires, along with her cherished grandchildren—Scott of New Mexico, Matthew of Georgia, Gordon of Illinois, Julie of Florida, Kristi of Nebraska, Laura of Georgia, Catherine of Oregon, and Jennifer of West Virginia, who carry her spirit forward.
