JULIA NADINE FRAZIER passed away on May 22, 2023 at the age of 103.  She was born March 8, 1920 to Joseph Elrie Adams and Julia Wills at home near Yoemans, Georgia in Terrell County.

After high school she graduated from Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia to earn her teaching certification.  She taught school in Axson, Georgia. On a vacation trip during Christmas, with some of her fellow teachers, she met Kenneth Wilson Frazier.  They were married May 2, 1941 in Coconut Grove, Florida.  Two children were born there, Nancy Carol and Gerald Wilson.

They moved to Atlanta, Georgia and another child, Kathy Lynn was born.  Their family was raised in the Atlanta area. Nadine was a great example to her children and others as she expected good morals, good grades and good friends. They belonged to Orchard Knob Baptist Church and after moving to East Point, GA became members at East Point Baptist Church.  Nadine was active in church organizations and volunteering in the schools, where she was PTA treasurer and a substitute teacher.

They retired to Franklin, North Carolina in 1979 where they had a house on the Cullasaja River and a cabin in the mountains in Cullowhee. Children, grandchildren, family and friends enjoyed many days through the years there. Nadine even hosted an Adams family reunion at the cabin. Everyone loved to visit them and her nieces and nephews came often and kept in touch though the years.  She was a great seamstress, cook and hostess. Her flower gardens were a sight to behold and won her garden of the month.  She and Wilson were active church members at Higdonville Baptist Church where Nadine played the piano for church services.

Nadine and Wilson enjoyed traveling and visited many interesting places in every state in the union along with Canada, Nova Scotia, Calgary, and Prince Edward Island.

After their years in NC they moved back to GA in 2003. They lived at Christian City in a 55+ community in Union City. They were married over 70 years when Wilson passed in 2012.  Nadine moved to Florida to be near her daughters who had houses a block apart the last 5 years of her life.  A big event was a 100th birthday party, March of 2020, one week before the airlines were grounded due to the Covid Pandemic!  There were 90 guests at the party including family members from Wyoming, North Carolina, West Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida.

Nadine lived an exemplary life for 103 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Gerald Wilson Frazier. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard Adams, Frank Adams, Omer Adams, Joseph Adams, William Adams and one sister Rachel Brim.

Nadine is survived by daughters, Nancy Wayte (Bill) of Casper, WY and Kathy Taylor (Stuart) of Tarpon Springs, FL, sister, Lois Jean Adams of Tarpon Springs, FL, five grandchildren, Lisa Parrish (Stuart) ,  Patricia Stone (John), Marabeth Kopp (Jim), Adam Wayte (Arlene), Kerry Taylor (Shanti), nine greatgrandchildren, Evan Wayte, Emma Stone, Emerson Kopp, Hawkins Kopp, Jack Stone, Nolan Wayte, Stella Wayte, Emory Taylor, Quinn Taylor and many loving  nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be at Higdonville Baptist Church at a later date.
