Misti Marie Evans

Misti Marie Evans (Buck), age 46, passed away on December 30, 2025, in Port Richey, Florida. Born on February 17, 1979, in Oregon, Ohio, Misti lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and love for her family and community.

A graduate of the Toledo School of Nursing, Misti devoted herself to the care and well-being of others. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life into every aspect of her personal world. She was a loving mother to her children—Kody Frushour, Gavin Ray, Bria Evans, and Kaia Evans—and a proud grandmother to Justin Ray. Her deep bond with her family was evident in the time she spent with them and the support she offered unconditionally.

Misti’s parents, Roberta Mauk (Feucht) and Lee Mauk, along with her sister Jessica Young, were central figures in her life. She also carried in her heart the memory of her father Lee Mauk, brother Lucas Buck and her son James Spence, who preceded her in death.

Spiritual at heart, Misti found peace and strength through practices that nurtured both body and soul. She enjoyed yoga and embraced the healing properties of essential oils as part of her daily life. The beach was one of her favorite places—a sanctuary where she could relax and reconnect with nature.

Misti generously gave her time to causes close to her heart. She especially loved supporting The Tarpon Springs Band Program, where she found joy in helping young musicians thrive. Her kindness and willingness to lend a hand left a lasting impression on those around her.

She will be remembered not only as a devoted mother and grandmother but also as someone who brought warmth and light into the lives of many. Her legacy lives on through those who knew and loved her.
