Kathleen was born in the United Kingdom and was soon on her way to Ontario, Canada. Her stay in Ontario was short as the family migrated to Buffalo, New York and then to Detroit, Michigan.
When eight year old Kay saw the little boy upstairs she asked her Mom if they could meet him. Soon Kay was telling her Mom that this little boy would be her husband and at 21 she and Henry were wed. Kay and Henry spent 51 years together and raised three children Marilyn, Ron and Sharon. Marilyn had three children William, Linda and Tiffany. Ron’s children are Scott and Lisa. Sharon’s sons are Steven, Jeff and Andrew. These Grandchildren grew up and started families. The legacy of Kay and Henry has grown to 16 great grandchildren and 17 great great grand children. On her 100th birthday celebration she was privileged to meet many of the great great grand kids.
Kathleen led and exemplary life and to everyone who knew her she was the lady with the smile on her face and a kind word for everyone she knew. She was loved by many and gave love too all that were in her life. Her charm and graciousness are legendary, she will be missed by so many people.
Kay’s great faith in God has been rewarded as she has gone home to be with her Savior and Lord. As we who are still here mourn her passing the halls of heaven are rejoicing at her homecoming. Kay as you rejoice in your reward please clear the path for the rest of us so we will be in the presence of your love again.
