Joseph Dellutro Jr.

Joseph Dellutro Jr. passed away at home on Sunday May 11, 2025. He was 83 years old. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 21, 1941, and at an early age he moved to Somers, NY. After graduating from Somers High School, he joined the United States Marine Corps. After Active Duty in the Marines, he moved to Ft Lauderdale FL. In 1983 he moved with his family to New Port Richey, FL. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Una Famiglia Italian Lodge of Spring Hill.

Throughout his life he was self-employed for many years. Prior to retiring he worked maintenance at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

He enjoyed golfing, cooking, traveling, and playing cards with his friends and family. Joe was famous for his lasagna and his kind and caring ways. He especially enjoyed spending time with his 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, JoAnn Pujol, Donna Coles, Mamie Kemmerling, and Charles Dellutro.

He is survived by his wife, Jeri Dellutro, married for 45 years. His daughter, Jeannie Kiriwas (Anton Kiriwas) and his son, Joe Dellutro (Melissa Dellutro), and his four grandchildren, Sagan Kiriwas, Aurora Kiriwas, John Dellutro, and Grace Dellutro, and two sisters, Cheryl Flores (Victor Flores), and Angela Rivera. He also is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nephews and great nieces.

Jeri, Jeannie and Joe IV would like to thank the many families and friends who stood by us through this difficult time. The family would also like to thank Gulfside Hospice who treated Joe with such compassion and dignity especially his nurse Nakia and his nurse practitioner Chelsea.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Gulfside Hospice or the American Heart Association.

A celebration of life will be held at Faupel Funeral Home, 7524 Ridge Road, Port Richey, FL 34668 on June 7, 2025, at 12pm. Luncheon to follow.
