John Randolph Miles

John Randolph Miles, 82, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away September 2, 2017. John is survived by his wife Karen Duffy Miles of New Port Richey, his daughter Shelly (Alan) Karan, granddaughter Amber Burton, 6 great grandchildren, and a great grandson, all of Virginia. He was predeceased by his parents Robert Gibbons and Edith Clarke Miles, brothers Robert Lee Miles and Francis J. Miles, S.J., and grandsons John and Jason Register. John graduated Mount Saint Mary’s College (1957) and Georgetown Law School (1964). He served in the US Marine Corps 1957-1960. His law career spanned 24 years before he retired from O’Malley, Miles, Nylen and Gilmore in 1992. John’s dedication to his Faith led him to active participation in various ministries in his last two church parishes and interest in men’s retreats at the Loyola Retreat House. Friends are welcome to remember John in a manner of their choice or by a gift to Men’s Retreats, Loyola Retreat House, P. O. Box 9, Faulkner, MD 20632. Interment private. A Mass and celebration of life will be held at a future date in Maryland.
