John P Carey
March 20, 1934 — November 2, 2019
John P. Carey, age 85, passed away November 2, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Nan; daughters Kim (Tom), Kelley (Joe), Krissy (Jorge) and grandchildren; Stephanie (Tyler), Shannon, John and JP.
John was a life long Florida Gator fan, Shriner and Mason. He enjoyed a forty year career with Publix Supermarkets in Dunedin, Clearwater, New Port Richey, and Gainesville. To his family he was a lover of reading the newspaper out loud, a man who never met a stranger, a walking sports encyclopedia, and our favorite “Pop.”
The funeral service will be Thursday November 7, 2019 at 11:00 am at Faupel Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation starting at 10:00 am.
The family invites guests to celebrate the life of the world’s greatest Florida Gator fan at a luncheon immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens in Elfers, Florida.
