James "Jimmy" Michael Dalelio

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jimmy) Michael Dalelio on August 30, 2026 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. He peacefully passed away at his home in New Port Richey, Florida. Jimmy was born on September 29, 1965, in Taunton, MA, and was raised by his parents Jemma and Michael Dalelio in Somerville, MA. Jimmy was an only child, with no siblings. 

He earned his Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Bunker Hill Community College and obtained his CDL license. Throughout his career, he held various positions, but his later years were spent happily working in the Recreation Department of the VA Hospital in Brockton MA. He took great joy in assisting his colleagues and supporting veterans. He was known for his strong work ethic. He often took on multiple jobs simultaneously. 

He had a passion for travel, cigars, all sports, and was a dedicated Boston Bruins fan. His favorite moments were spent at the beach or at a Bruins game. 

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Karen (Lepore) Dalelio, his cat Katana, and many friends and coworkers.
