James Willard Duke, a devout Christian and passionate witness for Christ, entered into the presence of the Lord on May 23, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on October 22, 1932, Jim dedicated his life to his family, faith, and was fervent about sharing the message of salvation.
Jim's unwavering love for God was evident to all who knew him. He found his true calling in telling others how to get to Heaven, spreading the Good News with heartfelt conviction. His words of faith and hope touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on his community.
A devoted family man, Jim was the cherished husband of the late Rita Duke. Together, they built a strong and loving family. He is survived by his two children, Cheryl and Larry, who inherited his deep faith and commitment to service. Jim was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Jim's dedication to his faith was reflected in his active involvement in his church. Over the years, he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and youth mentor, always ready to lend a helping hand and share his wisdom. His legacy of faith and service will be remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Faith Baptist Church,
9230 Ridge Rd, New Port Richey, FL on June 7th, at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Faith Baptist Church, honoring Jim's lifelong mission of spreading the Gospel.
Jim's earthly journey has ended, but his impact will resonate for generations. As he now rests in the eternal embrace of his Savior, we recall the words he cherished: "Well done, good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:23)
May he rest and continue to worship at the feet of Jesus in eternal peace, joy, and a new life.
