Ingeborg Irmtraud Nelson

Ingeborg Irmtraud Nelson (Inga) died peacefully at home on April 27, 2026 with her husband of over 40 years, Richard, and daughters, Irene Surmonins Thompson & Inna Willmer by her side.

Locally she is survived by her son-in-law’s: Sam (Irene) and Greg (Inna) of New Port Richey.

She is also survived by Richard’s sons, Randy Nelson (Janet) of Colorado also Steven Nelson of Arizona.

There are many surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren on both sides of their blended families.

She was predeceased by her other siblings; Leni Nolte, Ria Corey brother, Fritz Nolte. She has one surviving sister, Rosi Barnes.

Born and raised in Germany. She came to the US in 1956 and proudly proceeded to get her citizenship then learn to drive. She was very independent always exploring new things and liked to travel. Inga, a great cook especially German recipes, many from scratch and a wonderful seamstress. She made friends easily, loved music and dancing.

Everyone gathered last June to celebrate her 90th birthday.

Richard, Irene & Inna would like to especially thank the care and assistance received from Gulfside Hospice of Pasco County, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Inga's honor to Gulfside Hospice.

The family celebrated privately together this week.
