Gaile Ann Waldhauser (Adams) of Holiday, Florida passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 74 as the result of complications from surgery. She was the youngest of four siblings in a loving Catholic family. She is survived by her husband Charlie Waldhauser, son Eric Waldhauser, daughter, Krista (Stephen) Henley, TJ (preceded in death) (Stephanie) and 11 grandchildren: Toby and Gio (Eric) Ava, Seamus, Ainsley, Aine, MacKenzie, Maeve and a future Henley boy (due Nov 8) (Krista), and Olivia Waldhauser (T.J.). Gaile’s siblings are Al (Janet), Don (Rita), Diane (Joe), and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Gaile was born on March 30, 1951 on Long Island, New York. She attended a Ukrainian Catholic boarding school in Tuxedo Park, upstate NY. She had a career with Hertz in the 70’s that took her to England where she ultimately managed an English pub in Twickenham on the East side of London. She was working at NASA in Washington DC when she met Charlie and they were married shortly after at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Sykesville, MD. She made a life of supporting her three children working at various schools as a teachers’ assistant.
Gaile and Charlie retired to Holiday, FL in 2005, where she then became a realtor. She enjoyed her career in real estate and the community of realtor friends. She loved living in Florida and vowed to never move away. Gaile was extremely patriotic and loved supporting her son TJ in the Sea cadets and then later in the Navy. Her support of the military extended past TJ’s navy days. Gaile was a proud New Yorker and also loved everything British. She was strong and devoted in her Catholic faith and further fostered that faith at her parish of St. Vincent De Paul in Holiday, FL.
Most of all, Gaile LOVED being a Nana and her grandbabies loved their Nana. She will be sorely missed by them all!
