Emblem

Francisco Candido Silvestre, lovingly known as Frank, passed away peacefully in his home in Port Richey, Florida on January 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was 61 years old.

Frank was born on February 17, 1964, in Camagüey, Cuba. From humble beginnings, he grew into a man defined by resilience, pride, and an unwavering devotion to his family and country. A true patriot, Frank proudly served in the United States Army from 1986 to 1994. During his service, he earned diplomas as a Behavioral Science Specialist and in the U.S. Army’s Air Defense Artillery, accomplishments that reflected both his intellect and dedication.

Following his military service, Frank spent many years as an 18-wheel driver, a career that suited his independence and love for the open road. Known for having an “internal GPS,” Frank could give directions from memory no matter where you were on the U.S. interstates—an ability that amazed everyone who rode or spoke with him.

Frank was a man of many passions. He loved fishing, mechanical repairs, being outdoors, country music, and video games. He was the ultimate master of “MacGyvering,” always able to fix, build, or invent something with whatever was nearby. Full of wit and humor, Frank carried himself with pride and a fierce yet gentle heart. He welcomed everyone he met with open arms and left lasting impressions through his kindness, wisdom, and sharp sense of humor.

He was a proud band dad, an avid political enthusiast, and someone who never missed an opportunity to share insight or appreciation for even the simplest moments in life. Frank had a special nickname for each of his children and grandchildren—small gestures that became treasured symbols of his love. His family adored him so deeply that loving Frank became part of who they are.

Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Susane Garcia; his six children, Jessica Silvestre, Melissa Silvestre, Evelyn Emonds, Tito Henry, Marcus Henry, and Daniel Velez; and his eight beloved grandchildren. He was the heart of his family, and his presence will be profoundly missed.

Frank’s legacy lives on through the values he instilled, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. His family will continue to honor him by keeping his memory alive, carrying forward his wisdom, and living in ways that would make him proud.

Frank would say this: Keep on Fishin' on.... Peace, Love, and Chicken Grease.
