Elizabeth A. Goyette, 94, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2020 due to complications of
Covid 19 at Shady Knoll Healthcare Center in Seymour, CT. She was born March 11, 1926 in
Taunton, MA the daughter of Agnes Korpac & Antoni Mynarski. Elizabeth was their last child of
12, and she is survived by her sister Cecilia Wilcox of Poughkeepsie, NY. Six of her siblings did
not survive WWI in Poland, succumbing to starvation during the war. Her father had left Poland
in search of work in England and then to America. In 1919, Antoni arranged for passage of his
wife and one son and they immigrated to America, initially residing in Taunton, MA. The family
then moved to Glenville, CT. Elizabeth graduated from Greenwich High School in 1944. She
worked at the American Felt Company in Glenville as a laboratory technician until she met her
future husband, Henry J. Goyette, Sr., a submarine WWII veteran. She was married to Henry
until his death in 2007. After raising her children, she went back to work for SE Minor Surveying
in Darien, CT as a drafts person. She and her husband spent their retirement years in Port
Richey, FL.
Predeceased by a daughter, Linda Ryan of Portland, Oregon, and a great grandchild, Wyatt
Ryan, Elizabeth is survived by five children. Donna Goyette Blanchard of Sherman Oaks, CA,
James Goyette (Joy) of Yucca Valley, CA, Henry Goyette, Jr. (Debbie) of Beacon Falls, CT,
Elizabeth Goyette (Michael Cantu) of Greenacres, FL and Robert Goyette (Danielle) of Opelika,
AL. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Clinton, Melissa, Jessica, Greg, Marlena and Emily,
and nine great grandchildren: Julia, Tyler, Alayna, Mia Coco, Benjamin, Matthew, Fritz, Eloise
and Rosalie.
Elizabeth was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was kind, loving and considerate
of all. She enjoyed gardening and reading, and held a great belief in our Lord Jesus Christ. She
will be greatly missed by her family who send their eternal love.
There will be no calling hours or burial service. A memorial service will be held for family only
at Faupel Funeral Home in Port Richey, FL. Burial will be alongside her husband, Henry, at the
National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
