Diana married Bill on October 1, 1977 on the beach at Assateague Island, Maryland. After a short time in Baltimore, Maryland, she moved to Salisbury, Maryland where she and Bill spent years overhauling a beautiful Victoria-era home. Diana resided in Dover, Delaware for 37 years and embarked on a few lengthy RV trips around the country before retiring for warmer winters to New Port Richey, Florida.
Diana was a lifelong artist with varied interests and skills. In addition to being an impressive cook, she was an avid gardener, crafter, and quilter. She and Bill ran a craft business for several years where Diana was an exceptional basket weaver. Later in life, she took up quilting and donated many juvenile-themed quilts to A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. Diana passed the quilting interest on to several neighbors in her tight-knit community of Orchid Lake RV Resort, New Port Richey, Florida.
