Claire Shirley Hoppstadter

Hoppstadter, Claire S. 87 of New Port Richey, Florida died on March 16, 2025 peacefully at home. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, she relocated with her husband Harold to Gulfport, Florida in July of 1961, where she lived for 39 years before relocating to the New Port Richey area in 2000.

Claire was retired from Florida Power Corp. now Duke Energy.

She was the individual within the family who was the primary force holding everyone together. She is survived by her 3 children, Cheri Finch (Dan) from Rockwall, Texas, Keith Hoppstadter from Port Richey, Florida, and Dawn Mangene (Lou) from New Port Richey, Florida; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, brother William Carnathan, and sister Jean Easdale.

A memorial service for Claire will be held on April 4th, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL 33708.
