Carol Schumske peacefully left her earthly home on July 28, 2021 for her heavenly home with her Savior Jesus Christ. Born July 12, 1938 in Cincinnati Ohio. Carol married "Mr. Frank" as she fondly called him July 12, 1962. They lived in Rochester, New York, Snellville, Georgia and retired to New Port Richey, FL in 1985. God, family, poodle dogs, friends and her home were the center of Carols' life. Carol suffered the tragic loss of her infant son David to SIDS, adult daughter Jackie to a brain aneurysm and adult son Scott who was killed by a drunk driver. In 2004 her life partner Frank went to heaven. Despite the "life she had planned" being altered Carol accepted and chose to walk with the Lord in faith courage and strength. Carol served in various ministries at First Baptist Church of New Port Richey and Generations Church of New Port Richey. Women's Ministry, Bible Study Leader, Girls in Action Leader, Nursery Teacher and door greeter. She was in the leadership team for the Walk to Emmaus for many years. Her love and passion for God's Word spilled over into everything she did. She loved mentoring younger women in Bible Study. If you were blessed to be a friend of Carol's you received phone calls, cards, generosity, hospitality, loyalty, kindness and unconditional love. Carol worked for Hallmark Cards in her retirement years. She played tennis and golf. She was the captain of her women's tennis league. Carol had a way of rising to leadership roles; organizing, planning, teaching were her spiritual gifts. Carol made life sweeter. She will be greatly missed.

And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
