Seminole

Carmine Michael Fidanzato, age 96, went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2023 after a lengthy illness.  His devotion to his family and his strong faith supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.  Carmine passed away at his home in Seminole, Florida surrounded by his loving family.

Carmine, known as Carmy to his friends, was born on May 15, 1927 in Monongahela, Pennsylvania.  He was a World War II Veteran having served in the U S Navy/Coast Guard.  He worked as a Regional Manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company before retiring and moving to Florida in 1992.  Anyone who knew him, knew how much he loved a good book and knew that you could find him in front of the TV for any college or professional sporting event.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister Ann Todora, his four children:  daughter, Marcia Boyd, son Richard and daughter-in-law Bernie Fidanzato who he loved like his fifth child, daughter, Gina Carpenter with whom he resided at the time of his death and son Daniel Fidanzato.  Also surviving are his five grandchildren:  Jeff Boyd, Richard (Anne) Fidanzato, Toni Fidanzato, Nicholas Carpenter and Andrea Moore and five great grandchildren:  Marcus Girard, Riley Fidanzato, Liam Carpenter, Giada Carpenter and Niko Moore, many nieces and nephews including Carol Flament who held a very special place in his heart

Carmy was preceded in death by his wife Nita D’Andrea Fidanzato in 1995 and a granddaughter, Nita Marie in 1997.  He was also pre-deceased by his parents Guiseppi and Assunta Fidanzato, four brothers: Ralph, Mike, Pat and Joe and one sister Sese Lignelli.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Faupel Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Port Richey, Florida.  Interment will be at Mon Valley Memorial Cemetery.  Private services will be held for the family at a later date.

Carmine’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Suncoast Hospice for their loving care, compassion and dedication.
